Well it's been over a month since we've been back and it seems like China is just a distant memory. The girls are occupying almost 100% of our time and attention (as they should) and it's sometimes amazing to us that we are a family.

The girls are doing great. Developmentally, they are still behind in their growth (height/weight) but the pace in which they're catching up is phenomenal. Socially, and motor-wise, they both have some catch-up but they are not too far off in this mark either. We are doing our best to give them the love and attention that they need to develop day to day. We fight exhaustion on a daily basis though. Parenting is tough work!

Kyra cut her fourth tooth yesterday. It's just barely showing on the bottom row of her gums.

Mara had a fantastic day, eating lots of cereal in the morning (about twice the normal). We had a visit from Ali and Andrew before they take off to China.

The girls took a bath together and they both had a ton of fun splashing in the water.

Connick.com Discussion Forum -> Proud papa

Got a recent photo posted on the Harry Connick Jr. fan site. Hopefully this link works.
The girls are doing great and eating often. Kyra can chomp a cookie to oblivion very quickly and Mushu is appreciative of any crumbs that fall to the ground. Mara still doesn't eat as much but really likes her formula and any sweet baby food. Hmmm...

This morning Kyra ate and ate and ate. It must have been a quarter of the box of the Nestle rice cereal.

Mara ate up hers but was fussy for the rest of the morning. Right now, they're napping. I'm staying inside as the remnants of hurricane Isabelle is rolling through here. It's raining hard and luckily I mowed the lawn yesterday.

The girls are sleeping soundly right now. They had a hard morning of play that lasted over three hours. Even I'm a bit sleepy now.
